ahhh!

wow after school starts my life gets so busy. but now i am some interesting stuff to write i guess.

last week the drama program at my school went down to cedar to participate in the shakespear festival. and i got to go! it was so much fun on the way down ( a 4 hour bus ride) we pretty much just talked and listened to our ipods and tried to get to know everyone but didnt give it too much effort. then about half way through the bus ride we blew a tire. it was pretty funny! it made a huge huge and everyone screamed then started laughing. after we were all settled down again, my friend melissa who was asleep at the time woke up and thought we ran over our luggage. it was hilarious! then we stopped at a gas station for about an hour while they fixed the tire. after getting back on the bus it went back to normal talking, ipods etc. when we got to cedar we had already missed the first play we were going to see so we dropped our stuff of at the hotel and got back on the bus to head to tuacahn to see Aida. before we went to the show we stopped at in and out burger i love that place so i was happy. we got burgers then went to the show. Aida was AMAZING the actors were great and the techs that did the effects and lights were awesome. they had a camel and pigs and chickens on the stage at one point and during one scene they flooded the stage!!!!!! all the techies were pretty sad that we could never do that to our stage.

after that we went back to the hotel and got there at about midnight. in my hotel room was all my friends lizzy, melissa, katelyn, jana, but emilee and kayla were in a different room. so i guess not all my friends were in my room but i had all friends in my room if that makes sense. we got to bed at about 1:30 cuz we were talking and laughing for a while.
the next day we went and saw the complete works of shakespear abridged! it was just about the funniest play i have ever seen! it was all mostly improv and the actors were hillarious! then we did a improv workshop watched the theater tech olympics then we hung out on campus til about 1 when we went to lunch. then we came back and saw macbeth. not my favorite play cuz it was hard to understand but still really good. we got back at like 11:00 so everyone in my room sat down to watch The wizard of oz! one of my favorite shows! i fell asleep really early into the show but i guess i talk in my sleep cuz my friends thought i was awake most of the movie. :)
the next day was mostly hanging around then we watched our team do their scene from a winters tale. and watched our dance group. both did amazing! we hung out there until 3 when we packed up the bus and went to lunch. then we came back to watch the showcase and left. good bye to cedar and hello bus.

this time the bus ride was way fun! we sang songs and played improv games. even wrote BUS THE MUSICAL! it was actually pretty lame when i look back on it but i still had a blast! we got home at 10:30 pm and that was the last of shakespear. :(

Now our school is holding auditions for the wizard of oz and i am auditioning i hope i get in but it will be ok if i dont. us shakespear people are trying to talk our theatre coach in to letting us flood the stage and find a way to make it the yellow brick river. because we are all jealous after seeing aida. well i will post more later with pictures from shakespear but thats all i have for now. :)
